Vegan Side Dish or Snack… Ready in under 10 minutes

Steamed Kale & Brussel Sprouts

3 cups raw organic chopped kale greens

1.5 cups frozen organic brussel sprouts

1tbsp coconut oil

A dash of grated carrot

1c water

Sea Salt & fresh ground pepper

In a sauté pan combine the water and brussel sprouts over medium high heat. Let the brussel sprouts start to steam and as the water begins to evaporate add the coconut oil & kale for the last few minutes of cooking. Stir continuously until all of the water evaporates and all the greens are saturated with the oil.

Plate the veggies in a small-medium bowl & garnish with grated carrot. Season with sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.

🥬 Due to the cooked kale, this dish has a generous supply of bone building calcium. Always eat calcium rich foods with a little fat, like cocunut oil, to enhance absorption.
