Salads are so easy to make and you can combine almost anything that is in your fridge, freezer or pantry.
Steam green beans and peas on the stovetop
Steam: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a pan. Add the vegetables and cover. Allow the steam to cook the vegetables for a few minutes, testing them periodically with a fork for doneness (almost all water will have evaporated). When they have about two minutes left, add the raw garlic cloves and let them steam for the remaining minutes.
